This two semester sequence provides weekly instructional lectures on the use of Stata for quantitative analysis. 

​

The first semester lab focuses on basic Stata proficiency.  Student will learn to identify appropriate statistical techniques for particular research questions; enter and manage quantitative data; calculate descriptive & inferential statistics; interpret descriptive & inferential statistics; synthesize results; and present Stata results in a professional manner.

The second semester focuses on using Stata to conduct bivariate and multivariate regression; create dummy variables; and address nonlinear relationships, specification error, multicollinearity, heteroskedasticy, and outliers/influential cases.
